I am a French national who was brought up in the Parisian suburbs. After obtaining my Master 2 in law at Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas, I worked for a couple of years at a small Parisian boutique firm before moving to the UK where I completed a LLM in International Commercial Law at the University of Nottingham, graduating with distinction. I fell in love with life in England and decided to settle here for good, and started developing my legal career, qualifying as a solicitor of England & Wales through the SQE in November 2024.
In my practice, I specialise (and have done so since 2016) in French property and inheritance law and I assist our clients on various private client cross-border matters involving France. This would include things such as administering an estate where there are assets in France, advising on buying and selling French property and advising on estate planning where there is a connection to France.
Cross-border law can be a particularly tricky area to navigate, and whilst France and the UK are geographically close to each other, their legal systems are miles apart, which can often lead to stress and confusion as to what is required to move things forward. My knowledge of both systems and how they interact with each other helps me provide concrete, pragmatic advice, and to find and implement solutions that will work across the channel. I am particularly mindful of ensuring that my clients feel at all times that they are fully in control of the process, and have all the information they require to make the relevant decisions.
