Certificates of Good Standing

A certificate of good standing is used to prove that a company is incorporated and authorised to undertake business. It confirms that a company has continued to exist since it was incorporated and that no action is currently being taken to remove it from the register of companies. The certificate is issued by UK Companies House and needs to be specifically requested; it cannot be simply downloaded. The certificate can also confirm some or all of the following information in respect of the company: directors, shareholders, registered office address, insolvency proceedings and previous names. We can notarise a copy of these documents for an overseas lawyer, notary or company registry which may require them.
